About LetKaylaCook
Hi! My name is Kayla Bahrami, I'm a high school student with a growing passion for nutrition and wellness, and I created letkaylacook as a space for students like me who want to eat healthier but don't always have the time. Between classes, homework, and extracurriculars, I know how hard it can be to find meals that are both nourishing and realistic. That's why this blog focuses on simple, balanced recipes that fit into a busy student schedule. I also love experimenting in the kitchen and discovering ways to make meals delicious, quick, and wholesome.

Passion for Cooking
Ever since I was young, I’ve always loved being in the kitchen—experimenting with flavors, creating new recipes, and finding joy in the process of cooking. As I grew older, my focus naturally expanded to health and fitness. I became curious about how food fuels the body, what ingredients serve a purpose, and how small choices can make a big difference in how we feel.
That curiosity led me to research ingredients, learn what they support, and become more intentional with what I cook. Over time, my recipes evolved into meals that are not only enjoyable and satisfying, but also purposeful—designed to nourish, energize, and support a balanced lifestyle.
This space is a reflection of that journey: creating food that feels good, tastes good, and truly serves you.
My Mission
The goal of letkaylacook is to make healthy eating approachable, enjoyable, and sustainable for students. I want to show that nutritious food doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming — it can be quick, balanced, and satisfying. Through this blog, I share recipes that combine whole-food ingredients with practical tips to help students fuel their bodies and minds without stress. I also include little personal touches, like my favorite ways to enjoy a recipe, so readers feel like they’re cooking alongside a friend.
Looking Ahead
Currently, I'm focused on finishing high school strong while continuing to grow letkaylacook. Looking ahead, I plan to pursue a college degree in Nutrition Science or Dietetics. I would like to become a registered dietitian and continue helping people build healthier relationships with food, whether through clinical practice or community education. I'm excited to deepen my knowledge and share even more evidence-based nutrition insights with my community.
